President Obama Given 20-Man Motorcade to Visit Childhood Friend Bobby Titcomb

President Obama gets 20-man motorcade to visit childhood friend Bobby Titman during two-week Hawaiian vacation.

It is preposterous for President Obama to waste our taxpayer dollars to take a 20-man motorcade to visit a friend, Bobby Titcomb, during his Hawaiian vacation. When will these politicians learn we are paying more attention to what's going on? Don't get me wrong, I don't expect the president to get in a cab to visit his friend, but a 20-man detail sounds a little over the top. It would be interesting to see what extravagance his predecessors engaged in at the expense of taxpayers like you and I. Some of the president's critics, including British newspaper The Daily Mail, have said he could have been more frugal on his vacation with his wife and children, rather than be so lavish. I wouldn't go as far as to say he doesn't care about the American people, but his handlers aren't helping the perception that many hold that he's an elitist. Why couldn't Mr. Titcomb have been brought to visit the president, instead of the other way around. It would have been a lot cheaper.

I guess I have one parting shot for the Daily Mail. Mind your own business. This is our president and let us deal with our affairs. Seems to me that there are a whole host of issues dogging the United Kingdom that deserve the attention of this rag of a newspaper. The British tabloids have been very nasty in their coverage of President Obama at the expense of the hot mess in their country. Why not talk about the millions of money from the British coffers that will go to Prince William and Kate Middleton's upcoming nuptials. Surely the royal family could foot the entire bill, including the security provided by the country. Queen Elizabeth and family aren't exactly hurting for money like the working class citizens, including college students in Great Britain.
