Livonia Police Officer Larry Nehasil Killed in Line of Duty During Surveillance of Home Invasion Suspect

Livonia police officer Larry Nehasil shot & killed during surveillance of suspect allegedly involved in series of break-ins.

Authorities said Livonia Officer Larry Nehasil, 48, was killed in the line of duty, He was a 20-year veteran of the force. Officer Nehasil was killed in Walled Lake, MI, after accosting a home invasion suspect, who was also killed. According to media reports, the officer was shot while investigating a crime ring and was tracking the suspect, who was believed to have been involved in a series of break-ins in Livonia and surrounding areas, law enforcement officials said during a press conference. Officer Nehasil was killed when he confronted the suspect.

UPDATE#1: Why am I not surprised that the scumbag who murdered Officer Nehasil was no stranger to the inside of a prison.  According to the Detroit Free Press, police said David Bowling, 44, shot Nehasil with a .45-caliber handgun stolen from inside the home on the 100 block of Glenwood in Walled Lake prior to the shooting. He was also killed.
