White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley Arrested on Witness Tampering, Contempt Charges Stemming from Domestic Abuse Against Wife

White Plains mayor Adam Bradley arrested on witness tampering, contempt and harassment charges in connection to domestic assault on wife Fumiko Bradley.

It is a disgrace that White Plains, New York, Mayor Adam Bradley, 48, has not been forced out from office. He was accused earlier this year of slamming a door on his wife, Fumiko Bradley's hand to get her to recant her assault charge against him. This sleazebag allegedly suggested that she go to a mental hospital and claim she was crazy, prosecutors said Thursday. The court papers also allege that he told her she should hang herself. Er, shouldn't he be the one considering such an act since he's an abusive husband?

Bradley was arrested Thursday and arraigned on charges of witness tampering, contempt and harassment, said Lucian Chalfen, spokesman for the Westchester County district attorney’s office. He pleaded not guilty and was released without bail, Chalfen said.

Bradley, a Democrat and former member of the state Assembly, is already facing charges of assault, attempted assault and harassment. He was arrested Feb. 28 after his wife told police he deliberately closed a door on her hand.

Here's what I find hypocritical, the Democratic leadership in New York state seem to be mum on this incident, but yet, had this been a Republican, they would be screaming for his resignation. Adam Bradley was in just his second month as mayor. Until his arrest, he had been considered a politician on the rise.
