The Drudge Report is saying that President Obama is pulling the race card by rallying his base -- blacks, young people, women and Latinos -- to go back to the polls in 2010. The Democratic National Committee released an ad this morning with this video as a means of rallying the voters for the Congressional elections. Er, the Republicans are rallying their bases, so why should the right wing paint the president's actions as pulling the race card? Some have said the president spoke with unusual demographic frankness, but what else should he have done? How is it pulling the race card, when millions of whites voted for Barack Obama in the presidential elections? Once again, the Drudge Report proves that it's all about racebaiting. They deliberately omitted young people and women -- also inclusive of whites.
