Keli McGregor, Colorado Rockies President, Found Dead in Salt Lake City Hotel Room

Keli McGregor, president of Colorado Rockies found dead in Salt Lake City hotel room. Paramedics were unable to resuscitate him.

SHOCK: Keli McGregor, 48, president of Colorado Rockies, found dead Tuesday morning in Salt Lake City, UT, hotel room, police said. According to media reports, police received a call shortly before 9 a.m. that a man was found unconscious in a room at the Grand America Hotel. Medics tried to revive him, police said. At this time, the cause of death is unknown.

Team chairman and CEO Charlie Monfort said he was in Utah on a business trip with McGregor and team executive vice president Greg Feasel. McGregor had been the team's president since October 2001, according to the team's website.

McGregor's untimely death has sent shock waves through the baseball community. He will be sorely missed.
