Garsha Wilson, Jamaican Taxi Driver, Accused of Raping 12 Y.O. Girl & Burying Her Alive in Kingston

Jamaican taxi driver, Garsha Wilson, accused on raping 12 year old girl and burying her alive after he thought he strangled her.

SHOCK: Garsha Wilson, a taxi driver in Kingston, Jamaica, has been accused of raping a 12-year old girl and then burying her alive after he reportedly thought he had strangled her to death. He faces a litany of charges, including rape, abduction, attempted murder and cruelty to a child, the Deputy Police Superintendent Herfa Beckford said.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the Center for the Investigation of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse said Wilson, a resident of St. Andrew, was also charged with malicious destruction of property. He will appear in court on Friday.
The police said Wilson was held last week after a report was made to the St Andrew North police. The police alleged that Wilson, who is believed to be a friend of the youngster, had two weeks ago abducted her while she was at the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre.

They alleged that he took the little girl to a home in Smokey Vale, St Andrew, where he raped her and then later tried to strangle her until she became unconscious. Believing that she was dead, the man allegedly buried her in a shallow grave. However, the little girl later recovered, clawed her way out of the grave and made a report to her family who then informed the police.

Officers investigating the case said they are examining the possibility of a link to other cases, including that of Ananda Dean -- the 11-year-old girl who was abducted in 2008 and her headless body dumped in Belvedere, St Andrew. Source: Jamaica Observer
I am a little confused as to why, if he was detained on March 25, was he just charged on Monday, April 5th. Still, I am saddened by the news that abduction of children are on the rise on the island. The Jamaican authorities have said the abduction of girls has recently increased and have levied blame on taxi drivers for the majority of the cases. They claim they often take advantage of female passengers traveling to rural and isolated areas.

I remember as a child growing up in Jamaica, crimes against children were a rarity , certainly nothing that rose to the level of this atrocity. I can't begin to imagine the trauma this little girl suffered at the hands of this monster and I pray that court will hand down the harshest punishment possible on this piece of sh**. They should bury him alive.
