President Obama Calls Kanye West a "Jackass" for VMA Awards Outburst in Leaked Off-Record Comment, ABC's Terry Moran Commits Journalism Breach

According to Politico, ABC's Terry Moran set the Twitter-sphere all aflutter when he wrote:
Here we go again. Another controversy. During a CNBC interview yesterday, President Barack Obama called Kanye West a "jackass," regarding his behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. The President told the truth but this will be dragged out in the media for days on end. Sorry, but President Obama has found himself in the middle of another unfounded distraction.
Herein lies the problem, Obama's colorful remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted -- and then deleted -- by ABC News reporter Terry Moran. Moran's actions is a significant journalistic breach. That's just low and dirty. Of course, ABC issued a statement apologizing for Moran's faux pas.

Sorry, but President Obama told the truth. Kanye West is indeed a jackass and then some! He appeared on the "Jay Leno Show" last night and issued a rambling apology to Taylor Swift. Watch that here.
Still, President Obama should not have said anything. He has not learned after the incident with Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Sgt. Crowley when he quickly jumped to the conclusion that the police "acted stupidly." It's high time that President Obama realizes that there are many people who would only be too happy to see him fail.
Sorry, but the bigger story today is the fact that the Iraqi "shoe thrower" was released from prison this morning to a hero's welcome. Muntadhar al-Zaidi told reporters after he was released that he was beaten with cables and pipes and tortured with electricity immediately after guards removed him from a news conference for hurling both shoes at President George W. Bush.
