OH Man Alan Atwater Fatally Shoots Wife, Three Small Children Before Turning Gun on Himself in Murder-Suicide

SHOCK: Alan Atwater has done the unthinkable and unfathomable. He killed his wife, Dawn, and three young children before committing suicide in Oak Harbor, OH, Saturday. According to the NY Daily News, Atwater told others about having marital problems in the days leading up to the tragedy.

"There has been a terrible accident at my house," he reportedly told the operator around midnight Saturday. "My wife and three children are dead."

He then reportedly said he had shot them and added "I'm getting ready to kill myself right now". When the dispatcher pressed him for details about what had happened, the line then went dead, CBS News reported. Source: NY Daily News

May Dawn Atwater and her three children rest in peace. This is no different than LaShanda Armstrong's actions in which discord with the father of her children allegedly pushed her over the edge, so much so that she could get in her minivan and drive it right into the Hudson River, killing herself and three of her four children.
