Thomas Murphy, an executive at Sprint, lost his life in a freak accident last Friday night when a boulder fell off a Colorado mountain and landed on his SUV. Mr. Murphy, 45, and his family had just finished their vacation and were en route to their Kansas City home. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the family was driving on Colorado Route 82 in Pitkin county, when Murphy was rendered unconscious by the impact of the boulder, which was reportedly the size of a briefcase.
