William Kostric, Armed with Unconcealed Loaded Gun Plus Controversial Sign Outside President Obama Town Hall

William Kostric carried a handgun strapped to his leg to a town hall meeting that was held by President Obama in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Tuesday. Though it is legal for him to have the gun, as long as it is unconcealed, plus the fact that he carried a sign referencing this Jefferson quote: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants." It's rather strange that he would come to an event that the President of the United States is appearing and carried a loaded gun. This is provocative and menacing. Chris Matthews reamed this guy out for carrying a loaded and unconcealed gun to a presidential event. Mr. Kostric refused to give a plausible reason as to why he had the gun in the first place.


Kostric was on private property -- church ground on the roadway leading to the high school where Obama would speak. The church gave the man permission to be there. However, according to police officers, he is under constant surveillance and is not anywhere near where the president will speak. The local police told MSNBC that the man was legally carrying the gun, was nowhere near where the President was, and was "under constant surveillance."
