Well, the hot mess in the death of WABC newsman George Weber just took a turn for the worst. John Katehis, a 16 year-old teen, has confessed to stabbing him during a drugged-up date with the older man. According to the NY Daily News, the emotionally disturbed teenager was arrested early this morning after he made the admission to cops that he answered an ad Weber placed on the Internet seeking a partner for rough sex. What a creep.
"He saw the victim's ad looking for violent sex and said "I can smother somebody for $60" but it got out of hand," a source said. The teen admitted he stabbed Weber, but couldn't remember how many times because he "blanked out" during the violent, drug-fueled assault. The teen was in custody this morning at Brooklyn's 76th Precinct.I just love how people laud praises on some folks when they die. He was a predator, if he solicited a teen for sex. Mr. Weber is a grown man who should have known better than to pick up men and teens for sex from the Internet. He was asking for trouble and he got it. To think that he allowed himself to be taped and bound by a stranger speaks volumes. Trolling the web for a S&M score is far from smart. So all the folks can keep lauding praise his way. He was a freak and a wolf in sheep's clothing. Furthermore, Craigslist has lost all credibility with me. Their name keeps popping up in the middle of the most sordid and salacious occurrences. John Katehis, it is a real tragedy that you could be so violent and cruel at such a young age. You need to be given the death penalty for killing this man.
Cops found the suspect by combing through Weber's e-mail and Web browser history and tracking calls he made from his cell phone, sources said.
The teen answered Weber's ad on craigslist, an Internet Web site. The two met in Brooklyn early Friday evening and then returned to the newsman's Carroll Gardens brownstone apartment under the premise of engaging in sadomasochistic acts, sources said. Weber, whose ankles were bound with duct tape, was stabbed repeatedly in a frenzied attack that sprayed the walls with blood.
"Jordy loved and its people, particularly his Carroll Gardens neighborhood. The outpouring of support by his friends and neighbors is a blessing to us and a testimony to his character." Source: NY Daily News
