Chaffey Community Republican Women Group Depicts Barack Obama Surrounded By Watermelon, Ribs, Chicken On Fake $10 Bill

The negative campaigning of the Republican Party just took another turn for the worst. According the media reports, the latest newsletter by an Inland Republican women's group depicts Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama surrounded by a watermelon, ribs and a bucket of fried chicken. Isn't that racist? Funny, the Republican Party, which has long prided itself as the voice of reason and discipline seems to be resorting to racist acts to paint Barack Obama as a no-good, stereotypical black man. Wow, that is disturbing and sad on so many levels.

The October newsletter by the Chaffey Community Republican Women Federated, whose president is Diane Fedele, said that if Obama is elected his image will appear on food stamps -- instead of dollar bills like other presidents. The statement is followed by an illustration of "Obama Bucks" -- a phony $10 bill featuring Obama's face on a donkey's body, labeled "United States Food Stamps."

What's totally ridiculous is the notion that blacks are the only ones on welfare. How can they sink to such low levels of campaigning. This election has shown the real face of some people in America--racists. The Republican Party ought to come down like a ton of bricks on the racist that thought this up. All I can say to all this overt racism is that we are certainly not back days when blacks were lynched and subjected to separate accommodations. They are dealing with a whole different set of blacks in America.
