A Gallup Poll Across 70 Countries Prefer Barack Obama To John McCain By Nearly 4-to-1

It this isn't another slap to John McCain and his campaign, he got a rude awakening. Gallup conducted a poll in 70 countries from May to September 2008 and guess what they found? Widespread international support for Senator Barack Obama over Senator John McCain. Funny, didn't John McCain say he was the one who has been tested and is an expert at foreign relations? Guess most people in these countries don't want to be bothered with a John McCain administration. Even though the Republicans will spin it, the facts speak volumes about what people really think about McCain, thanks to President George Bush.

According to Gallup, among these nations, representing nearly half of the world's population, 30% of citizens say they would personally rather see Obama elected president of the United States, compared with just 8% who say the same about McCain. Overall, citizens in Europe are the most likely to state a preference for the next president of the United States and to think the election makes a difference to their country. Citizens in Asia are the least likely to state a preference for the next president of the United States and to think the election makes a difference to their country. In individual countries, only Georgia and the Philippines prefer McCain to Obama.
