Dead Bear Cub Found Draped In A Pair Of Obama Campaign Signs Dumped On Western Carolina University Campus

This is really sick and it is reprehensible that there are Americans who will go to extraordinary lengths to decry the campaign of Senator Barack Obama. According to the Citizen-Times web site, a dead bear cub was found dumped on the Western Carolina University campus, draped with a pair of Obama campaign signs.

Tom Johnson, chief of university police, said that maintenance workers reported about finding a 75-pound bear cub dumped at the roundabout near the Catamount statute at the entrance to campus. Johnson said, “It looked like it had been shot in the head as best we can tell. A couple of Obama campaign signs had been stapled together and stuck over its head.”

It is unacceptable that someone with the desire to draw attention to the election could choose such a reprehensible way to do so. I have always maintained that if you believe in the cause you champion, no matter how sick, you should have the guts to show your face and not hide. It is a very troubling incident and it proves once again that there are elements in the American society who feel that a white male has an automatic pass on the presidency, which is absolutely false. I believe that if Barack Obama is destined to win the general elections and be the first African American president, he will and no one can stop that.
