Can't we all get along? LA police have arrested Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, of Georgia, in the shooting death of Dolla. This dirtbag was arrested as he attempted to board a plane. He is being held on $1 million bail and was identified as one of two suspects who allegedly fled from the mall in a silver Mercedes Benz SUV yesterday evening. I hope they catch the other dirtbag. I just don't understand why do these young men have to resort to gun violence to solve their problems. Shameful and it seems they haven't learned from Biggie and Tupac.
Up-and-coming rapper, Dolla, whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot in the head yesterday evening at a Los Angeles mall, has succumbed to his injuries. The police have detained one person at the Los Angeles International Airport in connection with the murder.Dolla, who was based in Atlanta, Georgia, was in Los Angeles recording his debut album. He is a protege of Akon, who met him while he was performing with friends at showcases around Atlanta. The two collaborated on Dolla's first single, "Who the F*** Is That?" which also featured rapper T-Pain.
This young man has had a lot of tragedy around him. According to his MySpace page, he was born in Chicago, Illinois. His twin sister died at birth because of complications from an enlarged heart. The web page said that his family moved to Atlanta after his father committed suicide while he, then 5, and another sister watched from their parents' bed.
I don't follow hip-hop music, but it is a real shame that another young man has died and in such a violent manner.
