Debbie Rowe, Ex-Wife of Michael Jackson, Now Says She Wants Custody of her two Children, Michael Joseph Jr., 12, and Paris Michael Katherine, 11

I knew that Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe would pop up sooner or later to say she wants custody of her children. The soap opera continues. She reportedly broke her silence today and declared she wants custody of the two children she had with the late King of Pop. "I want my children," Rowe said during a 90-minute phone interview with NBC-LA. Funny how she suddenly wants to be the doting parent after she chose money over her kids. Good Lord, when will this drama end? Everyone is so self-serving and it's as though this is the gold rush of 2009. You see, Michael Jackson could not have paid me any amount of money to give up my kids to him. There is no way on earth that I would become an absentee mother to my kids. On that basis, Ms. Rowe should not be allowed to sashay back into the lives of these kids after giving them up to Michael Jackson. She said that the kids were a gift to Michael Jackson, essentially giving up her rights as a parent. So now, since he has died, they should go to whoever the court deems the best person to take care of them and I am pretty sure it won't be her.

Rowe, who married Jackson in 1996 and filed for divorce three years later, told the station that she is willing to submit to DNA testing to prove maternity and psychological testing. Legally speaking, she has grounds to contest Katherine Jackson's request, but morally speaking, she does not deserve to get these kids. Rowe had initially signed a contract with Jackson surrendering her parental rights, but an appeals court threw out that contract in 2006, ruling that Rowe remained the legal parent of son Michael Joseph Jr., 12, and daughter Paris Michael Katherine, 11.

Rowe retained visitation rights while Jackson kept custody of the children. I am sure that these kids can count the times their mother came to visit them. It seems very suspect that she has decided to throw her hat in the ring after Michael Jackson specifically omitted her from his will. What I find absolutely amazing is that Michael Jackson never bothered to legally adopt these kids since he's is reportedly not the biological father of the children.

Rowe also said she'll seek a restraining order to keep their grandfather, Joe Jackson, away from the children. It's common knowledge that Michael Jackson had a strained relationship with his father, who he said struck him as a child. Still, Debbie Rowe does not deserve custody. Yes, Joe Jackson was an absolute monster and still is. It has been mentioned that Joe and Katherine Jackson do not live together, so the judge should make it abundantly clear that the custody of these children are not being put in his hands either. He should not be in a position to make any decisions concerning the three kids.

While I am on the subject, let's visit HLN's Nancy Grace's comments about Diana Ross being named as Jackson's choice of a guardian in the event that his mother cannot serve in such a capacity. Nancy Grace had to get a dig in about Diana Ross' DUI case and her short stint in jail. What she failed to mention was that there have never been any complaints about Miss Ross' parenting skills. It is unfair that because she had one run-in with the law, she suddenly being typecasted as a bad person.

Stay tuned, there will be more drama to follow......
