I wondered when Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly would give his take on Michael Jackson's death and boy, he didn't disappoint. He expressed shock at a Pew study that found African Americans are far more interested in the coverage of Jackson's death than white Americans.
O'REILLY: Black Americans are much more engaged in watching this stuff than white Americans, even though Michael Jackson has white children -- and he chose to have white children -- and the face deal, don't even want to get into... So what's that racial thing all about?
Really Bill? What does Jackson having white kids have to do with anything? Aren't there white families who have adopted black kids? Wow. This guy is amazing. I cannot understand why in the world he makes millions of dollars every year to spew so garbage. Absolutely amazing. So, blacks should not like Michael Jackson because he has white kids and he looks white himself. No matter if he's black or white, Michael Jackson is still a musical genius. Michael Jackson is no different from Princess Diana, for example, who went through emotional struggles.
We may never understand why he underwent such a drastic transformation, but I still give him the credit that he is due. He is the greatest entertainment of all time. Surpassing even Elvis Presley. I must also add, Michael Jackson is loved across the world, not just by African Americans. Take a look at any videos from his numerous concerts through the years and you will see that there were a lot of white faces in the audience. I know, there was a time when many blacks were disappointed with Michael Jackson for literally going from black to white, but he still made a valuable contribution to the entertainment world. As he said, "it doesn't matter if you are black or white."
