The boy's mother reportedly contacted the school on February 13, saying she was concerned about the relationship her son had with Lavoie, a first-year teacher. Authorities were unable to question the first-year teacher because she had left for the day as the school went on a one-week break. The boy's parents reported him missing Feb. 16. Holyoke Detective David Usher was able to track the pair to the hotel by using financial and cellular communication records, Holyoke Police Chief Anthony R. Scott said.
What gives these teachers, male and female, the right to violate someone else's child? When the justice system starts sending a zero-tolerance message to these scumbags and child predators, then it will continue. This woman knew exactly what she was doing and that it was just plain wrong. She preyed upon this boy and God knows how many other boys she engaged in sexual improprieties with. Teachers like Lisa Lavoie are going to mess with the wrong person's kid and will pay a price beyond imagination. That will be a welcome occurrence.
