Elizabeth Gaddy, 45, Callaway Middle School Teacher in Georgia, Arrested on Charges of Having Sexual Relations with 13-Year Old Student

Here we go again. Another teacher caught having sex with 13-year old male student. The latest comes courtesy of Georgia. Troup County Sheriff's Office said that Elizabeth Gaddy, 45, a former cheerleading coach and a current teacher at Callaway Middle School in Hogansville, has been arrested on charges of having an inappropriate relationship with a young teenage boy.

Investigators charged with child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Gaddy is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old male student. Police said Gaddy had been having sexual contact with him for several months. Sgt. Kelli Ellington said some of the alleged behavior occurred at Gaddy's home in Hogansville and also on dirt roads in Troup County. Ellington said none of the alleged behavior occurred on school grounds. Gaddy was already on administrative leave because of a previous investigation into allegations of inappropriate contact with students.

Ellington said parents of cheerleaders complained about inappropriate close relationships between Gaddy and cheerleaders. "(The parents said) she was too close to them. (She was) writing them notes, text messaging them on certain occasions," said Ellington. "The information that we received from concerned parents and the investigation that was ongoing at the school involved allegations of professional misconduct, but it was actually the Troup County Sheriff's Department who uncovered the sexual misconduct allegations," said Ellington. These teachers who engage in inappropriate and criminal sexual behavior with young children are wreaking havoc on the lives of these children. One would think that the prospect of a lengthy prison sentence would deter them, but it seems that these scumbags are emboldened to have sex with these kids. I do not advocate violence and taking the law into one's hands is not the right way, but these people will not stop until one of these perpetrators gets seriously injured at the hands of a parent whose child has been victimized. This is shameful and stiffer prison terms must be given.

UPDATE#1: This dirtbag has been sentenced to five years in prison and 15 years of probation after pleading guilty to molesting a 13-year-old student. The LaGrange Daily News reports yesterday that Gaddy  pleaded guilty to one count of child molestation for having oral sex with the student. Charges of aggravated child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes were dismissed Monday. Of all the males Ms. Gaddy could have picked for a sex partner, she chose a child. That's just sick and I hope she will be passed around like a basketball by the inmantes when she heads to prison.

According to WSB-TV, Chief Assistant District Attorney Monique Kirby said Gaddy sent the boy 5,761 text messages from May to July 2008 and had many lengthy phone calls with him at night while her husband was at work. Kirby said Gaddy would get students out of class to deliver letters to the boy.
