R&B Star Usher Trashes Estranged Wife Tameka Foster in the Lyrics of Latest Release "Papers," Ironically He Delays Signing Divorce Papers

I find it absolutely disgusting that R&B star Usher would much rather release the details of the breakup of his marriage to Tameka Foster via the lyrics of his latest release "Papers." The single was released yesterday and he was only too eager to spill all the details, but it seems that in reality, he hasn't bothered to sign the real divorce papers, according to RadarOnline.com. The singer's delay has reportedly been holding up a divorce settlement that was hammered out about a month ago and filed at Atlanta's Superior Court.

The estranged couple were married in August 2007 and have two sons, one-year-old Usher Raymond V, and Naviyd, 10 months. You will recall that their split was a messy public affair that included rumors that the singer had demanded a paternity test to determine whether he was the biological father of Naviyd.  It was also reported that Raymond accused her soon-to-be ex's camp of running a "smear campaign" against her.

In the song "Papers," from an upcoming album tentatively tilted "Raymond versus Raymond," Usher paints himself as a sympathetic figure on the wrong end of a one-sided relationship. Geez, I could have told him that this woman wasn't right for him, much like his mother's position. The bottom line is that no matter what Tameka Foster did to him, this is the mother of his children, surely she deserves a little more respect than being trashed in his songs. Why do we always have to air our dirty laundry in public. Why can't he be a class act like Patti Labelle and Armstead Edwards. When they divorced, there was no mudslinging. No-one knows the terms of their divorce settlement and Ms. Patti did not trash her husband in any of her songs.

Here are some of the lyrics from "Papers"

Verse 1:

I can't, get to work on time, can't believe the words to her I just said
But who the hell argue n fight like dogs at 6 in the morning?(in the mornin')
I know its gonna' be some more sh** tonight mm oooh
Our pastor's callin, tellin me I done went too far in
I'm seen around town and my friends can't recognize me,
'cuz I took a chance on love(love), it's like(like), I'm dyin(ooh dyin)

Chorus:

For you I gave my heart and turned my back against the world
'Cause you were my girl, girl, girl
I done damn near lost my mama, I done been through so much drama
I done turned into the man that I never thought I'd be.

Verse 2:

I'm ready to sign them papers, papers, papers
I done took all I can take but u leave me no options girl
I can't deny how much I love you, I done gave up errthing I had to
as hard as it is I'm afraid I gotta say
I'm ready to sign them papers, papers, papers
I done took all I can take but u leave me no options girl

Verse 3:

I'm losin my mind, cant figure out who's wrong or right
I know it's you I love, but then I also know it's you I don't like
You claim you hate who I was, but that's the reason you here now
You think I don't know what's up, but sweetheart that's what ruined us
I ain't afraid to say I got needs
but the only time you here for me is when the bottles poppin' and everything is sweet
But I'm tired of sleeping in the other room spending them long nights
trying to figure out what in the hell in my heart I ain't do right. (Oooh for u)

Michael Jackson Tribute Second to None, The "Greatest Entertainer Who Ever Lived" Received a Royal Send-Off to Eternity

Michael Jackson's memorial celebration was, by far, the best I have ever seen. It had moments of laughter, somberness, music and just raw emotion. I cried when Usher broke down and when the King of Pop's daughter Paris spoke about her father. Let me echo Marlon Jackson's words, "I hope they will leave Michael alone now." Yes, I have all the haters, the skeptics, the critics, the analysts and the envious will leave this man alone. Props to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee for reminding her associate, Peter King, that the Constitution of America guarantees all the right to be innocent until proven guilty. He called Michael Jackson a low-life and a pervert. That is quite contrary to the fact. A low-life and a pervert would not have received such a royal send-off to eternity.

Rev. Al Sharpton hit home with his pointed comments, aimed at the critics of Michael Jackson. "When Michael started, it was a different world, but because Michael kept going, because he didn't accept limitations, because he refused to let people decide his boundaries, he opened up the whole world in the music world," Sharpton said. "He put on one glove, pulled his pants up and broke down the color curtain."

Sharpton then addressed Jackson's children.

"There wasn't nothing strange about your daddy," he said. "It was strange what your daddy had to deal with, but he dealt with it." Amen.

Rest in peace Michael Jackson, rest in peace. Your work here is done. Let us all walk in the destiny that God has ordained for us. Let us commit to being the best person we can possibly be. Let us emulate Michael Jackson and be that "Good Samaritan." I cried. I laughed. I sang along with the singers. Michael accomplished so much in 50 years, more than we probably ever could.

Usher Files for Divorce from Tameka Foster, His Wife of Two Years

I heard about the impending break up of Usher and his wife Tameka Foster this morning and I deliberately held off writing about it until I had some more confirmation. I hate to see any marriage end, but Usher should have listened to his mother. She was absolutely dead-on in her reservations about the marriage in the first place. Tameka Foster must have cheated on her first husband with Usher. Is that who he really wanted to marry? Usher could have done way better than that and his mother knew that.

According to In Touch, the singer isn't just separating from his wife. He's divorcing her. Apparently Usher "has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage," an insider exclusively told In Touch, adding, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The couple has two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months. Divorce papers were reportedly filed in Atlanta this morning.

I guess when this is all said and done, Usher will be screaming, "free at last, free at last!" Well, he'll have to pay child support and alimony, but with his money, I guess he can deal with that. I never liked Tameka Foster because she seemed like a "gold digger." Well, I guess she hit paydirt and will get a settlement of some sort.

Usher's Wife Tameka Foster Suffering Plastic Surgery Complications in Brazil, Singer Rushes to Her Side

I guess people have not learned from the fate of Donda West, the mother of singer Kanye West, who died after complications to plastic surgery. According to media reports, Usher's wife, Tameka Foster is suffering complications from plastic surgery. It has been reported that she suffered complications from a tummy tuck. The singer canceled a performance Saturday night to rush to his ailing wife's side, according to a report.

A neurosurgeon is reportedly on the way to South America to aid Usher's wife of a little over a year. Without speculating why a neurosurgeon went to visit her, the signs are telling. As you know a neurosurgeon is a specialist surgeon who has been trained in surgery on the spine and brain. Tameka gave birth to the couple's second son, Naviyd Ely Raymond, in December.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons warns of the risks of "medical tourism" on its Web site, citing different standards of quality control and training that can be found overseas. Hey, this doesn't happen only overseas. Donda West died right here in the United States after undergoing plastic surgery for a tummy tuck against one doctor's request and at the hands of a quack. I am not going to criticize Tameka Foster, but sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it. We have become a very superficial and materialistic society. That works only to our detriment. I'll leave my comments at that. I hope she recovers quickly from this setback.
