Ryan Holness, 28, Charged with Stabbing Wife, Serika Holness, to Death, After Concocting Twisted Carjacking Tale

Ryan Holness, 28, claimed that his wife, Serika Holness, was killed by a carjacker. It turns out that his story was a twisted tale of lies that the cops were able to poke holes through. Yesterday he was charged with her murder. This dirtbag told investigators that his wife was stabbed to death by a masked assailant early yesterday morning after the imaginary criminal forced them to drive from a New Jersey gas station into Maryland. The police said that Mrs. Holness' "heavily slashed" body was found in a field along a rural Kent County road about 6 a.m. Apparently his story as to how she got to that location raised red flags from the start. After investigators interviewed witnesses and gathered more evidence, they became convinced Ryan Holness' tale was an elaborate ruse. What a dirtbag. There is an absolutely good reason why law enforcement will look at the spouse or significant other of a deceased wife or girlfriend because the guilty party is more often than not that person.
Holness claimed that he and his 26-year-old wife stopped at a gas station on the New Jersey Turnpike after visiting her relatives in Brooklyn. He told investigators the assailant, armed with a gun and knife, ordered them to drive into Maryland, where the couple has a second home.

After stopping along a country road, Holness claimed, the attacker dragged him out of the car, bound his hands and feet and then stabbed Serika Holness several times as she tried to flee. Ryan Holness told investigators he freed himself after several hours and ran into a nearby house to call the cops.

"He didn't know how he got to Maryland....He had said he tried to get away and the man hit him in the groin," Robert Rolfe, who helped Holness call the police, told CBS 2 News. Ryan Holness was charged with first- and second-degree murder Friday night. Source: NY Daily News

According to Southern Maryland Online, state police investigators said that Holness is currently a member of the United States Navy, assigned to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. He and his wife have a home in Lexington Park. The couple has been married since 2003. The couple has children, but they were not involved in this incident and are safe with other relatives.

What a dirtbag. I hope they lock him in prison for the rest of his life. I could go down the list of men who have killed their spouses and thought that they could outsmart law enforcement -- Scott Peterson, Phil Spector (a woman who was at his home), Gabe Watson, Chris Coleman, O.J. Simpson and so many others -- and the common thread among them all is a narcissistic behavior.

Jayson Williams, Ex-New Jersey Nets Star, Tasered by NYPD After Suicidal Outburst at Manhattan Hotel

Jayson Williams, ex-New Jersey Nets player, went berserk early this morning in a New York City Hilton Embassy Suites. You will recall that he beat the rap for shooting his chauffeur, Costas "Gus" Christofi, in 2002. The cops were called to the hotel at 4 a.m. after a female friend called security to report disturbance in his suite. He was reportedly rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital in handcuffs after cops found suicide notes and empty bottles of pills in his hotel room.
"He was barricaded, drinking, taking pills. He was overwhelmed," a police source said. "It all came crashing down." Williams, 41, trashed his room, forcing Emergency Service Unit officers to subdue the former All-Star with a Taser gun, sources said.

It took two sets of handcuffs to restrain the husky star, cops said. Cops found several suicide notes, including a message scrawled on the wall. They said he was distraught over his divorce, his parents' illnesses and his impending retrial in the chauffeur-shooting case. Source: NY Daily News
Isn't this an eerie reminder of O.J. Simpson and the fact that he just couldn't find peace with himself after beating the murder rap for his wife and Ron Goldman?

Williams was cleared of the most serious charges in the murder trial. The jury deadlocked on the count of reckless manslaughter. In 2006, a New Jersey appeals court ruled Williams could be retried on that charge. No trial date has been set. The hoop star paid Christofi's family $2.75 million to settle a wrongful death suit.

"Prophet" Leland Freeborn of Parowan Predicts Barack Obama Won't Take Office Due to Disasters

Photo: LA Times, Leland Freeborn, "Prophet of Parowan"

Everybody's a seer these days. Looking into the future and saying how Barack Obama will perform as the next president. According to the LA Times, Leland Freeborn of Parowan has predicted that Barack Obama won't be the next president. He claims his prophecy is grounded in religious truth. Right.
"I think that you should hear what my opinion about the Obama election is: that he will not be the next president. I said on my home page in August that if he lost to expect to see the 'riots' that 2 Peter 2:13 tells us about. He didn't lose. But the story is not finished yet. I still think they may begin the riots before Christmas 2008, as I said."

These riots, according to his prophecy, will encourage the "old, hard-line Soviet guard" to seize the moment and rain down nukes on the United States, killing at least 100 million of us. "Prepare now," Freeborn's letter concluded. "We are downwind from Las Vegas. I hope you can survive."Source: LA Times
Wow, how grim. So, who is Leland Freeborn? According to the LA Times,
A Mormon of substance, a father of 12, he had crashed his airplane in 1975 and fallen into a three-week coma, during which he went through "to the other side" and emerged a prophet.

Freeborn, now 66, took "a plural wife," as he put it, and parted ways with the church. He forfeited his wealth, spreading word of his prophecies. He appears to live now mainly on sales of newsletters and survival information packets advertised on his website.

Asked for examples of successful prophecies, he offered O.J. Simpson's murder acquittal and Al Gore's winning of the popular vote in 2000. But his core insight has been a repeated dream of seeing nuclear flashes to the west while shopping at a Wal-Mart during Christmas season. Source: LA Times
Of course, he has followers. He holds regular meetings in his living room and the group of believers had broken with the Church of Jesus Christ of Lattter-day Saints over polygamy, among other things. Why am I not surprised that polygamy is still on the table for them. I am guessing that Barack Obama is so weak and tainted that he will not be sworn in on January 20th. Right. Just another person trying to cast seeds of doubt about Obama's historic win.
