Christian Riege, Miranda McElhiney, Heath Kelly & Florence Donovan-Gunderson Killed by Eduardo Sencion at NV IHOP

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the National Guardsmen and woman who were killed by Eduardo Sencion at a Carson City, Nev. IHOP. The names of the deceased are: National Guard members killed were 38-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Christian Riege of Carson City, 31-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Miranda McElhiney of Reno and 35-year-old Major Heath Kelly of Reno. Also killed was 67-year-old Florence Donovan-Gunderson of South Lake Tahoe.

Suspect in the Bloody Massacre in Carson City NV Identified as Eduardo Sencion

The suspect in the Carson City massacre has been identified as Eduardo Sencion, also of Carson City.

The suspect who opened fire in a IHOP restaurant in Carson City, Nev., killing three National Guardsmen, has been identified as Eduardo Sencion, 32, of Carson City. Seven people were wounded in the attack at a strip mall near a casino and department store. The motive for the bloody massacre is unclear, but he shot every uniformed officer in the restaurant, the Las Vegas Sun reported. Sencion had no previous criminal record on file but his family said he may have had mental health issues.

Several people have reportedly been shot at an IHOP restaurant in Carson City, Nev. The Nevada Appeal reports that at least eight people were shot by a suspect carrying a semi-automatic weapon just before 9:00 a.m. local time.

Sheriff Kenny Furlong told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the suspect fired at restaurant customers before shooting himself. He said the shooter is not expected to survive, according to the newspaper.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office reports that the IHOP is clear and the building is secure. Some streets have been shut down because of the shooting.

UPDATE#1: Two of the dead were uniformed National Guardsmen at the IHOP restaurant. Third dies in surgery, gunman not expected to survive. Six people wounded.
