Senator Edward Kennedy, 77, Dies Late Tuesday, After Lengthy Battle With Cancer, RIP Teddy!
Rest in peace Senator Ted Kennedy! This is truly the end of an era. Statement from The Kennedy Family:
“Edward M. Kennedy – the husband, father, grandfather, brother and
uncle we loved so deeply – died late Tuesday night at home in Hyannis
Port. We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous
light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and
perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. We thank everyone
who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who
stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress
toward justice, fairness and opportunity for all. He loved this
country and devoted his life to serving it. He always believed that
our best days were still ahead, but it’s hard to imagine any of them
without him.”

Actor David "Kill Bill" Carradine, 72, Found Hung in Hotel Room in Bangkok
The family of David Carradine is threatening legal action against any tabloid that publishes pictures of the actor as he hung in the closet. One such picture has been published in the Thai tabloid, The Nation. This is a disgrace. No matter how this man died, he deserves some privacy and dignity. According to the Nation, Pornthip Rojanasunan, director of the Central Forensic Medicine Institute, said Friday circumstances indicated that David Carradine's death might have been at attempt at auto-eroticism.
Veteran actor David Carradine, 72, has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room, according to media reports. The "Kill Bill" star is believed to have died of natural causes. There are reports surfacing that he was found hung in the closet of his hotel room.He was reportedly was staying in Bangkok while shooting a movie. The film crew discovered his absence when they went to dine out at a restaurant yesterday. When a producer went to his room, he discovered that the actor had died.
David Carradine was best known for his role in the television series “Kung Fu.” My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was one of the best actors of our time and he will be missed. It is a real tragedy if he committed suicide, which has been mentioned in the mainstream media.

Archibishop Earl Paulk, Whose Leadership of One Time Atlanta-Megachurch Ended Due to Sex Scandal, Dies Early Sunday
Bishop Earl Paulk Jr., dies in disgrace after building a megachurch in Atlanta and mentoring pastors like Eddie L. Long & Clarence McClendon.

Archbishop Earl Paulk has died. You will recall that the evangelical pastor's leadership of one-time megachurch the Cathedral at Chapel Hill ended in a sex scandal when Mona Brewer filed a lawsuit alleging that the two had engage in an adulterous relationship spanning 14 years.
Atlanta Medical Center said Archbishop Earl Paulk, who was in his 80s, died early Sunday. The hospital could not release a cause of death, but he had been in bad health for the past couple of years after a battle with cancer.
Paulk co-founded the Cathedral at Chapel Hill in Decatur and helped grow it to a peak membership of about 10,000 in the early 1990s, until all the sex scandals started driving people away.
A lawsuit by Mona and Bobby Brewer (who are separated, maybe divorced by now), sparked a chain of events that ended in Paulk pleading guilty in January 2008 to lying under oath by denying affairs with other women. A paternity test revealed Paulk was the father of his nephew, Donnie Earl Paulk, who is now leader of the church. That was a whole lot of drama in and of itself. I hope Archbishop Paulk found peace in his final hours and confessed his sins. He misled way too many people for too long. Personally the man was a lecherous scumbag who betrayed even his own wife and cheated on her repeatedly. He was a good preacher, but he was truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. I hope it is well with his soul.
UPDATE#1: Don Paulk, the brother of Earl Paulk, and the man's whose wife bore his brother a son, D.E. Paulk, has written a novel. Don Paulk's newly released novel "A Night in Gaza," focuses on the mind of a morally-conflicted pastor named Dan Hayden, who like most high-profile men succumbs to temptation and has an affair with a secretary. A tale as old as time, except that A Night in Gaza delivers a bone-chilling cautionary tale to men and reasons to avoid the same fate. I guess this he had an epiphany.

John Travolta's Son, Jett Travolta, 16, Dies While on Family Vacation in the Bahamas
UPDATEAn autopsy is planned on Monday for John Travolta's teenage son, who died after apparently hitting his head on the bathtub, authorities said. Jett Travolta, 16, had last been seen entering the bathroom on Thursday and had a history of seizures, Police Superintendent Basil Rahming said in a statement.
Travolta, 54, and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, 46, also have an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. Preston and Travolta have said that Jett became very sick when he was 2 years old and was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, an illness that leads to inflammation of the blood vessels in young children. She blamed household cleaners and fertilizers, and said that a detoxification program based on teachings from the Church of Scientology helped improve his health, according to People magazine. Both Travolta and Preston are practicing Scientologists.
"I was obsessive about his space being cleaned. We constantly had the carpets cleaned," Travolta said in a 2001 interview with CNN's Larry King, a portion of which was rebroadcast on the "Larry King Live" show Friday night. During that interview, when Jett was 9, Travolta spoke of how his son nearly died when he was 2. Source: Google NewsTravolta, as you recall gained fame as Vinnie Barbarino on the 1970s television show "Welcome Back, Kotter" and the 1977 film "Saturday Night Fever." He went on to become one of Hollywood's biggest names. He married Preston in 1991. Preston appeared with Travolta in the 2000 film "Battlefield Earth," based on a novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
TMZ is reporting that John Travolta's son, Jett Travolta, 16, has died. That is certainly a sad turn of events. No one wants to lose a child. The new year is off to a challenging start for this family. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
