Rep. Maxine Waters Says President Obama Would Never Address Hispanics, Gays & Jews as He Scolded Blacks to "Stop Complaining, Stop Grumbling"

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who has been vocal about the plight int he black community, is making waves this morning, by saying she's not sure who President Obama was talking to when he told blacks to quit complaining and follow him into the battle for jobs and opportunity. She told the CBS' "Early Show," she found Obama's language "a bit curious." She also said he didn't address Hispanics in such a blunt manner and would never use that in a speech to a gathering of gays or Jews.

I have no use for Fox News, but I will admit, Jesse Watters' video showing his confrontation with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) over comments she made about Fox News and the Tea Party, is hilarious because that's the first time I have ever seen Mrs. Waters speechless on camera.

Rep. Maxine Waters Says President Obama Should Have Mentioned Black Unemployment in Jobs Speech

Rep. Maxine Waters is still not satisfied with President Obama and his response to the high unemployment rates in the black community.

"I wanted him to say something about the intolerable rate of unemployment in the African American community. He didn't quite get there," Waters told CBS News' Scott Pelley in an interview on CBSNews.com immediately following the speech. "But he talked about long-term unemployed, he talked about disadvantaged youth."

Rep. Maxine Waters to President Obama - Iowans or Blacks

With just hours to go before his jobs plan speech, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is challenging President Obama to make a choice -- Iowans or blacks. Rep. Waters issued the following statement to Politico:

“There are roughly 3 million African Americans out of work today, a number nearly equal to the entire population of Iowa. I would suggest that if the entire population of Iowa, a key state on the electoral map and a place that served as a stop on the president’s jobs bus tour were unemployed, they would be mentioned in the president’s speech and be the beneficiary of targeted public policy,” Waters said in a statement to POLITICO on Thursday.

“So, one question to be answered this evening is, are the unemployed in the African-American community, including almost 45 percent of its youth, as important as the people of Iowa?” Waters asked.

In other words, we are tired of the empty rhetoric and being ignored, Mr. President, is what Maxine Waters is saying. It seems that Obama isn't just falling out of grace with average Americans, his black base is also wavering too. While I don't agree with much of what the Congressional Black Caucus stands for, I will give Maxine Waters credit for challenging President Obama but why wasn't she this vocal during George W. Bush's presidency when the bottom fell out of the bucket?

Rep. Maxine Waters Calls for Jobs Program of a Trillion Dollars or More

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) made a jaw-dropping call on President Obama to spend up to a trillion dollars on creating jobs. She was asked by David Gregory on "Meet the Press" if it would be possible for President Obama to take on an ambitious role in working on job creation in Congress, given the recent partisan fights over the debt ceiling. She said:

The president must be bold. I agree that he must have a jobs program, he must create jobs. I’m talking about a jobs program of a trillion dollars or more. We’ve got to put Americans to work. That’s the only way to revitalize this economy. When people work, they earn money, they spend that money, and that’s what gets the economy up and going.” Source: Mediaite

Herein lies the problem with Democrats -- they want to spend their way out of debt. A trillion dollars on top of what we already owe? Come on! Congress will approve that when donkeys fly.
