Sheri Lynn Davis, a science teacher at Jamie's House Charter School, was fired after a video emerged showing her allegedly beating a student, Isaiah Johnson. The video, which first surfaced on Fox Channel 26, appears to show Davis slapping the face of a middle school boy and kicking him on the floor of a classroom.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Davis taught at the charter school for three years and has never had any complaints lodged against her. The teacher was put on administrative duty on May 5 after the mother, Alesha Johnson's complaint but was later fired. Ms. Johnson said she intends to seek criminal charges against the teacher.
