Gurdon High School Sophomore Montel Williams Dies After Collapsing During Football Practice

TRAGEDY: Montel Williams, 15, a sophomore at Gurdon High School in southwest Arkansas, died after collapsing during football practice Tuesday night. According to Fox 16 News, officials are trying to determine whether heat was a factor. Williams collapsed at about 8:30 p.m., just an hour into the practice session in which all players were reportedly wearing all their gear, including pads. He was pronounced dead shortly before 10 p.m. at a hospital in Arkadelphia.
