MD Man Douglas Harvey Stabs Estranged Wife Lisa Harvey Multiple Times, Then Dies of Inflicted Stab Wounds

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Douglas Harvey, 50, died from self-inflicted stab wounds, after he stabbed his estranged wife, Lisa Harvey, in the driveway of their Maryland home Friday evening. This all went down with the couple's 13 year old son sitting in his mother's car in the driveway. According to the Baltimore Sun, Lisa Harvey, who had moved out of the home a month ago, returned with her son to collect some belongings from their Westminster home, when the tragedy unfolded. Lisa Harvey is in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Lisa Harvey didn't have to be in a hospital with multiple stab wounds today. Women must exercise caution when they have separated from their spouse or significant other. Someone loses big in a divorce and it pushes some people to the brink of irrationality. Douglas Harvey may have been such a man. She should not have gone to the home by herself. You can't assume the other person won't act out of desperation or pure anger at the prospect of a divorce. This child has not only lost a father, but I pray he won't lose his mother as well.
