Freemansburg PA Police Officer Robert Lasso Shot & Killed Responding to Disturbance Call, Homeowner in Police Custody

Police Officer Robert Lasso was shot and killed Thursday evening while responding to a disturbance call at a home in Freemansburg, Pa. According to media reports, Officer Lasso was shot in the head when he encountered the suspect,George Hitcho Jr. The police chief later arrested the homeowner. Officer Lasso, who died at a local hospital, is survived by a wife and two small children. He served with the Freemansburg Borough Police Department for seven years.
