Fox News opinion poll finds President Obama will win re-election in 2012, though real concerns about the economy still persist.
What do you know,
Fox News opinion poll finds
President Obama will be re-elected in 2012. At least that's what 57 percent of those surveyed said. Here's an excerpt from
Seattle Pi:
The Fox poll shows an Obama on the rebound. A survey taken in December showed just 29 percent expecting Obama to win a second term: 64 percent said he would not. The President holds a 57-36 advantage in the survey taken last week.
The President’s job approval “bounce” continues three weeks after U.S. Navy SEALS killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The Fox survey found 55 percent give Obama’s job performance a thumbs-up while 41 percent disapprove: Before the raid on Osama’s compound, the question produced a 47-47 split.
The country remains divided: 88 percent of Democrats approve of the job Obama is doing. Even with an eight percent gain among Republicans, just 19 percent of GOP voters think he is doing a good job. With Independents, the Obama “bounce” saw the President’s approval rise from 38 percent to 43 percent.
