SHOCK:  Kajul Harvey and her boyfriend Latoris Grovner have been charged with the murder of her mother, Alena Marble in Jonesboro, Ga. According to WSB-TV, the Marble and Grovner got into an argument that led to the older woman being beaten. Grovner told investigators the woman was still alive when they wrapped her in a blanket and placed her in the trunk of her car. It is not clear if she died from the injuries she sustained during the fight or from being in the trunk in the extreme heat that the city has experienced for a second day in a row. The abandoned car was found on Saturday after a foul odor was detected by residents in the neighborhood where it was parked. Both Grovner and Harvey are facing murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence charges.

There is a word for people like Latoris Grovner and Kajul Harvey -- scum of the earth. Which woman is going to allow a man to assault her mother, much less to wrap her body in a blanket and dispose of it like trash? May they rot in prison or be given the death penalty by a jury in Clayton County, Ga.
