Shareef Allman Goes on Shooting Rampage at Northern California Limestone Quarry, Killing Two, Wounding Six

Police launch manhunt for Cupertino quarry shooter Shareef Allman after shooting rampage leaves two dead and six wounded.

SHOCK: Shareef Allman, 45, a disgruntled worker, opened fire at the Permanente Quarry in Cupertino, Calif., where he worked, killing two and wounding six at about 4 a.m. Wednesday. He may have also shot a woman in an attempted carjacking shortly thereafter.
CBS Radio News station KCBS-AM reports that the employee allegedly arrived for the daily safety meeting at the quarry owned by Lehigh Southwest Cement Company in Cupertino about 15 miles west of San Jose. He then left the meeting and came back armed with a rifle and a handgun and started shooting, police said. The quarry is located about 3 miles from the headquarters for Apple. Police identified the suspect as Shareef Allman, 45, an employee at the quarry, KCBS-AM reports.

Allman is also a producer at San Jose public access CreaTV, according to Executive Director Suzanne St. John-Crane. Allman is not a paid employee, just one of a number of producers that submit content. St. John-Crain said everyone at CreaTV on W. Julian St. was shocked and called Allman a calm, gentle person who even wrote a book on non-violence. Source
