Scott Evans Dekraai has been arrested in the worst mass shooting in history of Orange County, Calif. He may have been motivated to go on the shooting rampage due to a long-running custody dispute with his ex-wife, Michelle Fournier Dekraai, who was one of the hair stylists at the salon. She was also killed in the shooting rampage.

According to the OC Register, court records show Dekraai has been involved in a divorce and custody case since 2007 and was in court for a hearing on Tuesday. Still no excuse to go on a shooting rampage that left eight dead and one critically wounded.

His ex-wife's attorney said Dekraai was seeking full custody of their son, but a court-ordered review had recommended against that. The attorney, John Cate Jr., said Tuesday's hearing was "benign," a scheduling meeting. "Obviously, I saw no indication," he said. Source
