Adam Parcells, from Hilton, NY, shot and killed his two young daughters as they slept in a tent at a remote campsite, before committing suicide. The two girls, ages 10 and three, were shot multiple times. According to media reports, Parcells's wife, Marcie, had filed for divorce in May, of this year.
The family had been staying since Saturday at the isolated camp site, 50 miles north of Albany near the village of Lake George, a popular summertime tourist destination. Sad, sad, sad turn of events. I don't understand why some men have a propensity to murder their entire families when their marriages fall apart. Move on, learn from your mistakes and start over. Why inflict such anguish and pain on the surviving family members?
Adam Parcells knew exactly what he planned to do when he took his children to this remote campsite. What he did to the mother of these girls and their respective families was very selfish and heinous.
