Riots Erupt in Tottenham UK Over Shooting Death of Mark Duggan by a Police Officer

Police officer involved shooting of Mark Duggan in Tottenham UK leads to riots, with two police cars set on fire and shops looted.

URGENT: Riots have broken out inn Tottenham after police fatally shot Mark Duggan on Thursday. According to media reports, two police cars were set on fire and a number of shops looted, as well as one building was set on fire. It is a sad commentary that people will loot and rob in the face of a demonstration.  The businesses that were looted and burned out had nothing to do with the murder of Mark Duggan, so why cause this level of destruction? For what?
Duggan had been shot in an exchange of fire after the police's Trident operational command unit, which deals with gun crime in the black community, stopped the vehicle he was travelling in. The violence erupted after about 120 people marched to the Tottenham police station to express their outrage at Duggan's death. The Daily Mail is reporting that Mark Duggan was a 'gangster.' Does that mean the police can mow him down in cold blood or wouldn't it have been better for them to have taken him alive to face whatever charges they file against him?
Mr Duggan was shot dead by marksmen on Thursday and his fiancee, Semone Wilson, has said that she wanted answers, not trouble, while his brother, Shaun Hall, called for the community to remain calm.
There are too many people, eager to engage in questionable behavior at the drop of a hat. Looting and rioting won't bring Mark Duggan back. It only serves to destroy your own community and at what cost?
