Navy Seal Aaron Vaughn Among Those Killed in Helicopter Attack by Taliban in Afghanistan

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Navy Seal Aaron Vaughn, who was among those killed in a helicopter attack by the Taliban in Afghanistan Friday.
Obion County was home to Vaughn, a Navy SEAL. His heart was in the Navy, where he set his sights on making the elite SEAL Team Six right out of boot camp.

He was the first of Geneva Vaughn's 10 grandchildren. "Aaron loved his country, and he was willing to give his life to protect those he loved," she said. Aaron Vaughn had a wife and young family of his own.

"His new baby girl was two weeks old when he was deployed to Afghanistan this time, and he has a little boy that will be two in September," said Geneva Vaughn.
