SHOCK: Pastor Zachery Tims, 42, pastor of the New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Fla., was found unresponsive Friday on the floor in room 3711 at the W Hotel in New York City's Times Square at about 6 p.m. Emergency responders pronounced him dead a short time later. The results of an autopsy are pending. No criminal activity is suspected in his death at this time, the Wall Street Journal reports. You will recall there was drama in his private life when he and his wife Riva Tims divorced in 2009, ending their 15 year marriage, after he admitted to a yearlong extramarital affair.

Tims, who moved to central Florida from Baltimore. started his church with six members and grew the congregation to well over 8,000 members. There are a lot of questions. How come this news only broke today? Was it that the church members got worried when he didn't show up to the service this morning? Who discovered him unresponsive and called the paramedics? Tims sought to change the lives of young people, since he had been in and out of jail as a teenager. At age 14 he was convicted of attempted murder and spent two years in juvenile facilities, according to his 2006 memoir, "It's Never Too Late." He overcame drug addiction and became a pastor. UPDATE#1: Latest news about Zachery Tims' death, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting that an email addressed to its congregation, New Destiny said Sunday was "filled with rumors and speculations regarding Pastor Zach" and announced a meeting tonight at 7 p.m.

UPDATE#2: According to MyFoxOrlando, Pastor Tims' body was found by someone inside the hotel and that person called 911. When the paramedics responded to the scene it was already too late. It's not clear how long Zachery Tims had been dead.

UPDATE#3: Autopsy for Pastor Zachery Tims inconclusive. More tests will have to be done to determine cause of death, according to NYC medical examiner.
