Mario Nathaniel Dorce, 23, killed his mother, May Carole Whitty, after the two got in an argument about religion in her Marietta, Ga., home Saturday. Dorce has been charged with murder and other felony charges in her death. According to the AJC, the criminal warrant states Dorce admitted to shooting Whitty about 15 times with a 9mm handgun, including reloading the weapon after it jammed. Jesus take the wheel!
Police would not explain the nature of the religion argument. Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News that the suspect was acting unusual Friday and Saturday. Friday night, Dorce asked a neighbor if he could spend the night at their home.

While under arrest Saturday, the “suspect was back in the cop car laughing, smiling, joking, um, singing songs and just acting a little crazy,” Simms said.

Dorce graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna in 2005, according to his Facebook page. He served in the Navy from June 2005 to April 2010, but Navy personnel would not release the location where Dorce was stationed or information about his departure from the military. Source
Unless he is found guilty by reason of insanity, his punishment for killing his mother will be really severe, as it should.
