George Lopez Show Cancelled by TBS, Two Weeks After "The Mo'Nique Show" Goes into Hiatus on BET

Karma is a beeyotch. George Lopez was recently on Piers Morgan's show trashing talk about Jay Leno and the mess that ensued when Conan O'Brien was dumped from the Tonight Show. Well, TBS just cancelled his show, "Lopez Tonight." It's also ironic that the Lopez cancellation comes exactly two weeks after BET cancelled "The Mo'Nique Show." Tough breaks for blacks and Latinos on television.

Here is the generic statement released by TBS, in part:
We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.
