New Haven Teen Travis Washington's Death Leads to Peace Rally Calling for Action Against Gun Violence
How many more black teens will have to die before people in the affected communities take a stand? Travis Washington, 17, of New Haven, was gunned down about a week ago. By taking a stand, I mean more than 75 people should turn out for a peace rally. The bloodshed will not end until the majority of the people say enough is enough and take a stand. A suspect was taken into police custody. Funeral arrangements for Travis Washington are pending. If you want to reach out to the family, CLICK HERE. One teen dead is one too many. Time to take a stand. The no-snitch mentality needs to be kicked out of the window. Police need help in getting the thugs off the streets and out of the lives of innocent people. Black-on-black crime isn't going to stop if the residents don't take a stand against the self-destruction.
