Nancy Grace Says "Somewhere Out There, The Devil Is Dancing Tonight" Over Casey Anthony's Acquittal on Murder & Child Abuse Charges

I won't lie, I watch Nancy Grace's show on HLN fairly often, but I think she's in for a rough ride with the tongue-lashing from the defense and others who felt she went a little too hard on Casey Anthony. Nancy Grace had many people pretty convinced that Casey Anthony deserved to be under a prison in Florida, and I think she should be for not knowing where her child was for 31 days. I find Nancy Grace's comments particularly acerbic and to some extent, true. Many people share her opinion in this instance. Here's an excerpt of her comments after the verdict was read:

"The defense team is inside a bar having a champagne toast, right now," a clearly distraught Nancy Grace said on Headline News this afternoon after the Casey Anthony trial verdict was read.

"Now, you know what? I'm not a preacher and I'm not a rabbi, but there is something wrong with that 'cause Caylee is dead. And her body decomposed just fifteen houses away from where the Anthonys put their head on the pillow overnight. Everyday searching, searching for this little girl," she said.

"Now, I know it is our duty as American citizens to respect the jury system and I do, believe me I do. I've struck over one-hundred juries. But I know one thing: As the defense sits by and has their champagne toast after that not guilty verdict. Somewhere out there, the devil is dancing tonight."

I wouldn't want either of my sons to become defense lawyers. I am of the opinion that some would sell their souls to win a case and have a murderer walking on the streets. Now back to Nancy Grace, she's batting an abysmal record in correctly calling court cases and I think that will impact her in some way. I believe her record as a prosecutor wasn't so stellar either. I won't throw her under a bus but I think we will see it in her ratings. Dunno. I could be wrong. Let's see. I believe Casey Anthony will end up just like O.J. Simpson -- restless until caught in another crime.
