Powerful Men Behaving Badly, When Will it End?

Many of us have been watching as events unfold in the last week of what the media refers to as Weinergate. The New York Congressman caught up in the latest sex scandal. Yes, you are reading right. It seems another politician is caught literally with his pants down. I wish we didn’t have to read reports of men who, through their indiscretions done privately, humiliate their wives and friends publicly. Guys, please keep your zippers zipped.

I don’t what it is that makes a man want to display his private parts to women he has never met in a virtual world, unaware of the electronic footprints that are left each time we strike a key on our computers on the internet. Is it ego? Late night comics are having a field day with this man’s reputation. Think of the ramifications of what happens to the family when a well known man is caught behaving badly. What goes through their minds a few seconds before he pushes the send button? Do they even think?

My goodness, guys, learn to keep your zippers zipped! Your wives, family children, friends, and supporters would rather avoid the public humiliation of seeing you stripped down to your skivvies and your life ruined by your momentary indiscretion. Please engage your brain before putting your finger on the send button. It’s hilarious that his last name coincides with the slang term for his – well, you know. This is exactly what he set himself up for; this kind of ridicule exposed him in unimaginable ways. It is worth noting that all of these men are married and not young and naïve college kids in their 20s. Money, Sex and Power is a dangerous combination. Guys, keep your zippers zipped.
