NYPD Sgt. Nelson Fernandez Files Formal Complaint Accusing Boss Thomas Connolly of Sexual Harassment

NYPD Sgt. Nelson Fernandez files formal complaint accusing male boss, Commander Deputy Inspector Thomas Connolly of unwanted sexual advances.

NYPD Sgt. Nelson Fernandez has filed a sexual harassment complaint with the NYPD's Office of Equal Employment Opportunity against his male boss, Transit District #4 commander Deputy Inspector Thomas Connolly. According to the NY Daily News, he said he's "fed-up" with the unwanted advances from his boss.

"He'll call me in for no particular reason," Fernandez told the Daily News. "Then he'll lounge back with his feet up, and he puts a pen in his mouth and starts sucking on it in a sexual manner." Fernandez continued: "He doesn't say a word to me. He's looking at my crotch and smiling. I give him a disgusted look and turn around and walk out." Connolly also commented on "how sexy" Fernandez looks and how his hair is "so shining," according to a copy of the complaint provided by Fernandez's lawyer, Eric Sanders. The complaint also alleges unwanted touching by Connolly during patrols. "The train is not crowded, and he's on top of me ... rubbing his arm on me," Fernandez said. Source

All I can say is, what a way to start the work week? On a serious note, this is no different than a woman complaining of sexual harassment on the job, so it shouldn't be dismissed or laughed at. One thing, if Thomas Connolly is married, then his wife should be taking a close look at their marriage over the last few years to see if she's married to a gay man.
