Chicago High School Basketball Stand-Out Ryan Royall Fatally Shot Leaving Birthday Party

Ryan Royall, a Chicago high school basketball stand-out, was mowed down early Sunday morning as he left a party with a group of friends. According to the Chicago Sun Times, Royall, 17, and his friends were leaving a birthday party at Ho-Chunk Sports and Expo Center in Lynwood, when they heard disturbance in another parking lot and then shots rang out. Royall was reportedly shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Another kid was shot in the leg, but is expected to survive.
