BREAKING: Vanessa Long allegedly moved out home shared with her husband, Bishop Eddie L. Long in the aftermath of the multimillion dollar settlement of gay coercion lawsuits. (H/T Mo'Kelly Report)
We reached out to Art Franklin, spokesman for the church, and are awaiting a response. The receptionist "appeared" shocked and gasped when I asked the question of whether Mrs. Long had moved out of the marital home. Of course, that could have been an act.
UPDATE#1: I still haven't heard back from Art Franklin. But if Mrs. Long doesn't show up for services on Sunday, that's a sign there's a problem. If she isn't in the front row or on the stage, then that's also a sign there's a problem.
UPDATE#2: New Birth has issued a statement denying that Vanessa Long left her husband. Here is the statement from Art Franklin on behalf of the church:
Hey, Eddie, don't take shots at bloggers. Remember Andrew Breitbart? If you live in a glass house don't throw stones. Remember Anthony Flagg, Maurice Robinson, Spencer LeGrande and Jamal Parris, how come you settled with them but you're threatening bloggers? Okay Bishop Long, don't focus on your MORALITY and the young men you were accused of sexually molesting, instead, pick a fight and try to bully bloggers who are calling you out. Why not talk to the people of your church about why you settled the case rather than throw any of the five stones you promised, to clear your name?

UPDATE#2: New Birth has issued a statement denying that Vanessa Long left her husband. Here is the statement from Art Franklin on behalf of the church:
"Despite a very public attack against New Birth Church and its leadership, New Birth has chosen not to respond to rumors but remain focused on fulfilling the mission that God has for the ministry.
However, in this new digital world, along with a steep decline in quality reporting, many people can't discern the difference between legitimate journalists and irresponsible bloggers. Recently, some blog entries have surfaced claiming to have anonymous sources stating that New Birth First Lady Elder Vanessa Long has left her husband. That claim is completely and absolutely false. Mrs. Long is very much a loving, dedicated and committed wife and mother.
It is unfortunate that anyone would make such hateful and damaging false claims of this nature. These cruel and insensitive rumors have the potential to cause immeasurable pain and suffering. Those involved should feel obligated to retract their earlier statements."
