Rashaad Bacoum-Slaughter gunned down at Brevoort Houses playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant while visiting from with his son, Rashaad Jr., for Mother's Day.
What the heck is going on in Brooklyn, NY? Rashaad Bacoum-Slaughter, 23, of Canarsie, was killed early Wednesday morning while visiting relatives with his son, according to the New York Daily News. He was reportedly killed at about 12:30 a.m. in a playground at the Brevoort Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant, the newspaper said. Bed-Stuy was never a great place to live and play, especially in the last 15 to 20 years. Maybe things have changed since the 1990s, but I seriously doubt that.
Bacoum-Slaughter was struck in the head and lower back and died at the scene, police said. He had come to the complex to visit his mom for Mother's Day, bringing his own son, and stayed on, relatives said. Bacoum-Slaughter had been attending ASA College to become a computer technician.
