Tiger Woods Admits to "Transgressions," As Another Woman, Nightclub Manager Kalika Moquin, Comes Forward

Since the bottom fell out of the bucket, Tiger Woods has finally fessed up to the allegations of adulterous relationships with a few women. He issued an apology Wednesday for "letting his family down.” Yeah, Tiger Woods was being boxed into a corner and had no choice but to issue a statement to end this public relations nightmare. Well, so long to the image he painted for long so of a private man, devoted to his wife and his children, and a positive role model. That isn't the value-system he portrayed and it is a sad commentary in the life of yet another public figure. In a written statement posted on his website, Tiger Woods states:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

The National Enquirer broke a story last week alleging that he had been seeing a New York nightclub "hostess," Rachel Uchitel, and that they were recently together in Melbourne, where Woods competed in the Australian Masters. Since then, a San Diego cocktail waitress Jamiee Grubbs came out of the woodwork and has confessed to Us magazine that she had a 31-month-long affair with the golf champ. Life & Style magazine also claims that Woods had a sexual relationship with Vegas nightclub manager Kalika Moquin. This is a sad commentary and Tiger Woods portrayed such a wholesome image that it's shocking to learn that he has engaged in a string of adulterous relationships. This is really a private matter between him and his wife, but we all know that it will stay in the public realm because of his stature.

I won't throw him totally under the bus. As long as he redeems himself and does the right thing, he deserves a second chance. It will literally send waves of the proportion of a tsunami if he loses any of his endorsements. Many will make the case that he should and it depends on the morality clause in these contracts. If there was a stipulation that committing any moral blunders would lead to the contract(s) being terminated, then that should happen. Sorry Tiger. You messed up big. To those skanks who love knowingly sleep with another woman's husband, shame on you! This will not net you positive publicity. People will see you as a homewrecker and a clean-up woman.
