The Drudge Report Caught in a Lie, Runs Picture with Caption Saying U.S. Cadet Reading "Kill Bin Laden" Book While President Obama Spoke at West Point

A U.S. Army cadet was caught on camera by Reuters reading a book entitled "Kill Bin Laden" as he waited with other cadets for U.S. President Barack Obama to deliver an address on U.S. policy and the war in Afghanistan at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York December 1, 2009. Obama announced a plan to send 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan over six months in a bid to beat back the Taliban and bring a quicker end to a costly and unpopular eight-year war.

 The problem is that The Drudge Report is trying to make hay of this cadet's actions by stating that he read the book while President Obama was speaking to the nation. The caption with the picture stated quite clearly that he read the book while he waited for the President to come to the podium to deliver his speech. Another deliberate smear and fabrication by the right.
