Police: Lynn Geter Forces Son To Kill Pet Hamster With Hammer Over Bad Report Card

Lynn Geter forces her son to kill pet hamster because he brought home a bad report card.

Lynn Geter, who lives in Warm Springs, Ga., is accused of forcing her 12-year old son to kill his pet hamster because he brought home a bad report card. Say what? According to WSB-TV, Meriwether County Sheriff Steve Whitlock, the incident occurred at the family's residence last Thursday. Geter allegedly forced her son to use a hammer to kill the hamster.

The boy told his teacher about the incident, who then reported the incident to DFCS.  Geter was arrested last Friday following an interview with investigators and was charged with battery, cruelty to children and cruelty to animals. Why am I not surprised that this woman already has a criminal record. She violated the terms of her probation on another case and was denied bail. What a terrible thing to do to a child.
