Christopher Brian Stewart Facing Felony Murder & Aggravated Assault Charges in Shooting Death of Jose Alvarez at Bar in Marietta GA

Cobb County, Ga., police have arrested Christopher Brian Stewart, of Marietta, for the shooting death of Jose Alvarez early Sunday morning at Murph's Lounge. Police said Stewart and Alvarez were involved in an altercation at about 11:30 p.m. After the shooting, Stewart left the scene and arrested at a home, on Curtis Road in Marietta, without incident about 4 a.m. Stewart was booked into the Cobb County jail on felony murder and aggravated assault charges. It is not clear what the two men were arguing about.
