Houston police issue warrants for arrests of Patti LaBelle's bodyguard Efrem Holmes & hairdresser, Norma Harris, 63, in the beatdown of former West Point cadet Richard King.
Patti LaBelle's bodyguard, Efrem Holmes and hairdresser, Norma Harris, have warrants out for their arrest on assault charges in the beatdown of former West Point cadet Richard King in a March 11 incident at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, according to ABC News affiliate. Holmes told police he was trying to defend LaBelle's son, Zuri Edwards. I find it hard to believe a 63 year old woman could push a young man into a concrete column with that force.
Patti LaBelle recently countersued King, saying he hurled racist and sexually-suggestive insults at her. The criminal charges will have an impact on her case, but hey, the jury acquitted child-murderer
Casey Anthony, and a judge wanted
Willie Nelson to sing for him in connection with a marijuana possession case, so I wouldn't say her case will be severely impacted. You never know. The tape only showed a snippet of what really happened. I still believe this is a money grab of sorts, but I will concede that the bodyguard may have used excessive force. I don't believe for a minute that Patti LaBelle ordered the beatdown because Richard King was standing too close to her luggage. That's not how Miss LaBelle rolls. No way.
